Founder of IETea
IETea was set up with ‘Incredible Edible Todmorden’ in December 2012, to serve and sell tea with incredible stories. Each tea tells a tale of kindness and starts a conversation, which leads to action. Whether that’s protecting the land of villagers in Gudalur, preserving and distributing heritage seed varieties, or regenerating the environment using fungi, these teas provide an opportunity to help, just by having a brew.
Tea, like food, spans and unites demographics; In times of crisis, we put the kettle on. We take a moment to reconsider the best way forward, and we do it with the help of medicinal plants. Re-connecting with nature, problems become opportunities. Revived, we can go beyond sustainability to a ‘positive material culture’ that provides a positive affect on our communities and environment.
Our friend Adam, tells stories so that people start their own; all with a with a cup of tea. He's also stepping into the realms of mushroom market gardening and is a keen mycophile. Also eager to make a difference in this world, he has been helping to deliver Rooting and Fruiting community workshops.
Adam loves Oyster mushroom because cultivation in accordance to environmental conditions easily bears abundant fruit; the healing power of this graceful majesty is a ninja filled with helpful/medicinal secrets.
